At ALVA we focus on finding innovators. Thomas Alva Edison, after whom our company is named, is highly regarded as one of the most prolific innovators of all time. In his 84 years, Thomas Alva Edison acquired a record number of 1,093 patents and was the driving force behind such innovations as the phonograph, the incandescent light bulb and one of the earliest motion picture cameras.

However, Edison was not just an innovator, he was also a successful manufacturer and businessman who was highly skilled at marketing his inventions–and himself–to the public. He created the first industrial research laboratory by applying the principles of mass production and large-scale teamwork to the process of invention.

Here at ALVA, our mission is to provide a platform for the innovators of today to gain access to the support they need to build successful companies. As division of The SDDCO Group, ALVA is powered by a world class accounting firm that can implement a professional accounting and reporting structure for your company. Together, ALVA and the entrepreneurs we work with aspire to accelerate the pace of innovation as successfully as Edison was able to.

Surprises and reverses can serve as an incentive for great accomplishment. There are no rules here, we’re just trying to accomplish something.
